Knowing Where I Stand

To those who in the future might inherit and/or manage my FB page, Twitter feed, Instagram account, and other forms of social media, please know that on this day, August 15, 2017, I am completely reviled by the words and actions of the 45th President of the United States of America. I take issue with the words he spewed today. I challenge his math in finding equivalency in the ugly acts and violence displayed by the white supremacists in Charlottesville, Virginia on August 12, 2017 and the religious and other persons who assembled that day in peaceful protest. Though I am not surprised by 45’s words and false equivalency I admit to not yet knowing what to do about it. I am very clear on where I stand but, what’s next? To my children and grand-children and future great-grandchildren, know that I will figure it out. Know that I will do my best to make a difference for the good of you, our extended family and friends and others who are similarly appalled at the words of potus45 and the acts of those who believe that they are supreme and we should not even be here. Yes, I will.
